Shirodhara is an ancient Ayurvedic treatment in which warm, herbalized oil is poured onto the forehead. The word shirodhara originates from two Sanskrit words, shiro (head) and dhara (flow). The continuous flow of oil represents the streaming flow of consciousness entering directly into the third eye center. This powerful treatment is a deeply relaxing tonic to the nervous system. It calms activity in the mind and brings the body, mind and soul into harmonious balance.
